Before turning to fall diversions in our rain gear and boots, let’s take a look back at summer! Our marvelous staff has shared pics of their favorite moments outside, presented here in alphabetical order. We also get a gander at what our friend Saul Weisberg has been doing since his “graduation” from the Institute. Please enjoy!

No Retiring in Retirement
After months of preparing to hand over the Executive Director mantle to Bec Detrich, and enjoying many celebrations along the way, Saul Weisberg let no dust settle before kicking up some more. With a couple adventures right out the gate, Saul shows us what “less administration, more poetry” actually looks like.
WILD MIND—A Writer’s Retreat 2021: In late July, Saul and Shelley hopped a ferry north to Alaska for a writing, meditation, and kayaking retreat taught by Institute friends and seminar instructors, Kurt Hoetling and Holly Hughes.
ROSS LAKE Camping: Then in September, Saul and Shelley were back on the water for a Ross Lake adventure with friends Gerry Cook and Hannah Sullivan.
Thanks for coming along on this photo round-up! As always, we invite you to share your own adventures with us—please reach out to us at photos@ncascades.org and your pics just might appear in our next round up!
