Day in and day out we share our love of the North Cascades and value our access to nature near and far. It’s our routine. And life is full of routines. Not all of them are good though. In fact, some need to change. And that’s what Opt Outside is all about. Are you ready to change routines to spend more time outside?

While REI’s #OptOutside campaign started as a way to change behaviors on Black Friday, it’s bigger than one single day. It’s a movement — one that’s made stronger by every person who reads these words and decides to spend a little more time outside whenever they can.

We’ll be out there again this year — Diablo Lake, Oyster Dome, Tiger Mountain, Thunder Creek, Artists Point, Mt. Constitution, Ebey’s Landing, Sauk Mountain, Chelan Ridge, Semiahmoo Point —and we hope you’ll find you’ll renew your commitment to spend more time outside at your special places too!
