“What YLA Means to Me” Student Reflections

Listen to students reflect on their YLA experiences on the last day of their trips in the summer of 2024!

Youth Leadership Adventures offers backpacking and canoe-camping field courses in the North Cascades that connect 9th-12th grade students to the natural world while engaging them in conversation about climate change and climate solutions. In partnership with North Cascades National Park and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, participants canoe, backpack, camp and complete stewardship projects in the North Cascades while discovering their leadership strengths, learning outdoor skills, building an inclusive community with peers and identifying pathways to a hopeful and sustainable vision of the future.
